Interview prep and tips
Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive interview environment where you can feel at ease and showcase your true potential. We view the interview not as a test, but as an opportunity for mutual discovery – a chance for us to learn about you and for you to learn about us. Here are a few tips to help you prepare.
Do your research
Nothing makes as good an impression as showing you care about our business. Familiarise yourself with Storage King and the self-storage industry and review the job description carefully. Know the key responsibilities and required skills so you can highlight your relevant experience and qualifications.

Prepare your answers
Anticipate common interview questions and practise your responses. Be ready to discuss your background, achievements and how they align with the role. While each interview is different, some example questions to consider include: Why are you right for this job? What excites you about working with us? What are your plans for the next year or two? What are some achievements you're really proud of?

Think of some questions
Think of a few things you can ask before you head in – things like "what do you like best about working here?" or "What kind of training opportunities do you offer?". This is a chance for you to find out more about the role.

Look presentable
All our store staff wear uniforms. While there's no dress code for our interviews, we suggest wearing smart casual attire that is clean, neat and professional.

Be punctual
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early. That way if traffic is unexpectedly bad, you’ll still be okay. It also shows respect for the interviewer's time and gives you a moment to collect your thoughts.
